What’s our morning’s work?...

11.03  I have been approached, if I might be willing to answer press-questions submitted by e-mail. From the response…

interviews / questions are unlikely at best, but never is a word anyone connected to Crimson might delete from their vocabulary. however, in response to e-mail questions, never is the best word to use!

11.30 An enthusiast has written, offering to send bootlegs of Frippertronics, approving the recent release of such. From the reply…

it’s true. i miss rabid-fan lurkings with gushing (ie splashing & squirting) compliments of undeniable & unquestionable veracity; that’s what happens when a bright star of my luminosity is overworked offstage.

if you would like to send any prime source recordings of questionable legitimacy to me personally at DGM, i will give them my personal attention.

mostly, the work i do at any time is usually missed or overlooked in favour of work i did some years before. if there is little or no take-up by the listening public, i tend to keep moving. if there is a take-up by the public, i tend to keep moving anyway. and i am not so self-involved that i spend my listening-life addressing my own work. but now, 30 years later, there seems to a growing willingness to engage with frippertronics; although not with soundscapes!

if there is interest expressed in a player’s work, they usually respond - when they can.

12.34  A visit to Monks Withecombe Gallery, run by Nicky Heyworth, in the adjoining barn space to see the current work on display.

12.56 CD listening-refs burnt & shortly off home to play with the Minx & WillyFred. Yippee!

19.12  A slow-down patch, spreading further than two junctions on the M5 around Portishead. A problem with one vehicle and tens of thousands are impacted. It took an hour longer getting home than otherwise, so an hour less time playing with little WillyFred…

WillyFred is not yet fully convinced that he is human, nor that we are rabbits…

… but the distance between the two is getting closer…

WillyFred can’t handle any more love, so to gentle with the Minx.
